A New Health Journey

Stay with me, this may be long, but hopefully you'll stay with me until the end and follow along as we start this new health journey.
I have struggled my whole life with my weight. It started when I was nine, my parents divorced and everyone, in an attempt to make me feel better, well they fed me. Soon I started turning to food for comfort. I still do. It's not as bad as it used to be, I at least am aware of it, but now I think I have some other issues.
After having Maverick this weight is not moving. It seems like I can eat nothing and exercise six days a week and still it hangs on.
While on vacation this week in Dauphin Island I told myself that I was going to eat what I wanted and not worry about it. About day three I was miserable. I feel full all of the time and just uncomfortable.  That wa debouching to push me to do something more about it. No.more. I know what I need to do but I'm in love with carbs. I crave them like a fat kid craves cake, well I'm the fat kid craving cake and pasta and bread.

About 19 years ago (showing my age now) I started doing the Sugar Buster's eating plan. Basically you eat fast carbs, things like veggies and some fruit, lots of protein and some fat, also absolutely no sugar. Anything you eat can have no more than 5 grams of sugar preserving. I lost around 30 lbs on that. Then we had a huge life change, moved, I got pregnant and well that all stopped.

So, I know that eating good carbs and more protein and some amount of fat is what I need to do.
Enter the Keto diet plan which is almost the same except you eat much more fat. From just the little I've read your daily macros are carbs at 10% protein at 15% and fat at 65% or that's what mine will be at. The theory is that your body will use those fat reserves and you'll burn that fat. In theory, starting out it sounds easy, I can have bacon and eggs, real butter and cream?! Fresh veggies and some fruit but no bread or pasta.
So this is the plan we will be following starting Monday. We have a Disney vacation coming up in September and I would love to be in a better place in my health and feeling better about myself by then. Right now I don't want to be in any photos unless I am strategically posed. 🙄
